CURRENT EXHIBITION

“GRADCURATE”

GRADCURATE is a new grassroots platform for recent graduate artists to showcase their work.

Saturday 14th March to Thursday 19th March 2020

This first exhibition features 11 artists working across painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and sculpture – bringing together a wealth of emerging talent, including those who have exhibited their work internationally and those who are just getting started.

The themes of the artists’ work range from their own personal experiences to contemporary social and environmental issues. From this emerges a complex variety of  perspectives on our relationships with each other and the wider world.

We are left with a number of thought-provoking ideas to consider, surrounding the impact of humanity on the natural environment; the nature of shared experience between humans, other animals and technology inhabiting the modern word, as well as the planet itself; and the very concept of ‘humanity’, given the differences in our personalities, influences, cultural backgrounds, gender experiences and everyday lives.

The exhibition will be open between 10:00 and 17:00 from Saturday the 14th – Wednesday the 18th of March, and 10:00 – 11:00 on Thursday the 19th.
